Northern Sydney Intellectual Disability Health Team

Northern Sydney Intellectual Disability Health team is a multidisciplinary health service for school aged children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with intellectual disability and complex health needs. This service, operated by the Centre for Disability Studies, provides medical and health consultations, advice and referrals. The service works in conjunction with the person’s General Practitioner and/or Paediatrician, other health services and disability service providers to ensure coordinated, high quality health care.
Referral must be by your GP/treating doctor.

Statewide Intellectual Disability Mental Health Outreach Service

Statewide Intellectual Disability Mental Health Outreach Service is specialist mental health service that aims to improve access for all adults with an intellectual disability to mental health care. The service offers clinical support to the state’s Local Health Districts.

A State-wide Health Clinic for Adolescents and Adults with a Developmental Disability. This clinic provides a medical and health consultant service for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Clinic works in conjunction with the person’s General Practitioner to ensure high quality health care through a network of medical specialists and allied health professionals.

Mater Intellectual and Disability and Autism Services

Mater Intellectual and Disability and Autism Services is a state-wide service which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of adults with intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Our services are designed to assist current health practitioners and service providers by providing initial assessments and short-term interventions.

Clinic for the Assessment of Neuropsychiatric Disorders in Intellectual Disability

Clinic for the Assessment of Neuropsychiatric Disorders in Intellectual Disability is an tertiary outpatient service which supports people with intellectual disability and complex neuropsychiatric disorders by offering second opinions regarding diagnosis or management in situations where this has been requested by the current treating specialist.
