Are you concerned you're not being treated fairly or equally?

People with intellectual disability have the right to be treated equally and fairly.

If you’re concerned you’re not being treated fairly or equally, there are organisations that can help:

  • advocate for you
  • provide legal advice,
  • information and resources.

The Disability Gateway has information on legal advice for people with intellectual disability.

In the video, you can watch someone with intellectual disability tell you your rights and what to do if you have concerns.

You can also go to the Disability Gateway’s website to learn more or phone them and talk to someone.
