Royal Commission – share your story
If you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (First Nations) person with disability and you’ve experienced violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation, the Royal Commission wants to hear from you. It also wants to hear from the families, friends, and support people of First Nations people with disability.
- violence –if someone is hurting you physically
- abuse –if someone is treating you badly
- neglect –if someone is not helping you the way they are supposed to help you
- exploitation –if someone is taking advantage of you.
First Nations Peoples Strategic Advisory Group
The new group will advise on ways to prevent and protect First Nations peoples with disability from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. It will also provide advice about ways to encourage reporting and investigating of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.
