Victorian Dual Disability Service

The Victorian Dual Disability Service provides advice to professional staff working within the mental health and Disability sector and to consumers and carers. The service is multidisciplinary and provides consultation to staff working in Victoria about their consumers aged 16 plus who have intellectual disability and/or autism and a mental health problem.
Referral must be by your GP/treating doctor.

Head to Health is a website of apps, online programs, online forums as well as a range of digital information resources. If you live in NSW, Victoria or Tamania you call and talk to a mental health professional.

QLife

QLife provides Australia-wide anonymous, LGBTI peer support and referral for people wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships.

QLife services are free and include both telephone and webchat support, delivered by trained LGBTI community members across the country. Our services are for LGBTI individuals, their friends and families, and health professionals in Australia.

Beyond the telephone, QLife offers webchat for people who prefer online interactions or for whom the phone is impractical.

13YARN [Thirteen YARN] is the first national crisis support line for mob who are feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty coping. We offer a confidential one-on-one yarning opportunity with a Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Crisis Supporter.

Black dog

The Black Dog Institute promotes better mental health through their clinically-endorsed school, workplace and community programs. They are also involved in training the next generation of health care providers through GP, psychologist and psychiatrist programs.

Ryde Clinic (DDHU)

A State-wide Health Clinic for Adolescents and Adults with a Developmental Disability. This clinic provides a medical and health consultant service for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Clinic works in conjunction with the person’s General Practitioner to ensure high quality health care through a network of medical specialists and allied health professionals.

Mater Intellectual and Disability and Autism Services

Mater Intellectual and Disability and Autism Services is a state-wide service which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of adults with intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Our services are designed to assist current health practitioners and service providers by providing initial assessments and short-term interventions.

Mind supports people experiencing mental health and wellbeing concerns to find help, hope and purpose in their lives.

Griefline

Griefline supports anyone experiencing grief, facing any type of loss, providing access to free telephone and online support services and resources

SANE Australia

SANE has introduced a new guided service that provides FREE tailored digital and telehealth support for people over 18 years of age with complex mental health issues and their families and carers. The service also supports people with intellectual disability, autism or acquired brain injury who are experiencing co-occurring mental health issues. 
Referrals for SANE’s guided service are open in your area. You can refer yourself or be referred by a health professional, close family member, carer, or referral organisation by using the online form at sane.org/referral. Â
