The Mental Health Services Helpline is open 24 hours a day. It is a free call number for confidential advice and assessment about mental illness and services. The helpline is a triage service run by our community mental health clinicians. This means we work out what type of treatment or service you may need.

The SA Health Mental Health Triage Service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This service is the main point of access and provides advice and information in a mental health emergency or crisis situation is staffed by mental health clinicians will assess and refer to acute response teams where appropriate.

1300 MHCALL (1300 64 2255) is your first point of contact for mental health services providing support, information, advice and referral.

Mental Health line NSW

If you or someone you know needs help, the Mental Health Line offers professional help and advice and referrals to local mental health services. It is staffed by mental health professionals who will ask questions to determine if you or, the person you are concerned about, needs ongoing mental health care and how urgently it is needed. They can put you in contact with the most relevant mental health service for children, teens, adults and older people. The Mental Health Line is available to everyone in NSW and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Access Mental Health is the central point of entry to access mental health services and are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for people in the ACT. Our services are open to everyone and are provided within hospital and community settings. We also have specialised services to help you access individual care that suits your condition.
